Customized Modules

Adaptations of Current Modules: BEST Project staff members are available to work with federal, regional, state and local programs or sites to create a customized version of a BEST module that addresses their particular needs or reflects their specific interests and cultures.  For instance, the Early Literacy for Childcare Providers module was developed when a Community Action Agency serving providers wanted to coordinate their training with the local school district and Head Start programs who were using the Early Literacy: A Collaborative Approach.

New Modules Based on the BEST Model:  The BEST Project has a proven track record in developing new modules using their team-based training model.   The Challenging Behavior module was originally commissioned by several Head Start Programs and a Head Start Regional Training Office.  The Sharing Literacy module was commissioned by Idaho’s State Department of Education for use in the state’s Even Start programs.  If you are interested in exploring how the BEST model can be applied to a training, professional development or implementation topic of your choice, please contact any of the BEST staff members.
